Who are you?

In the past few days, I have been reminded just how impactful the media and Hollywood can be in defining our identity. Being a millennial in todays world can leave you in an identity crisis, not knowing who you really are. It's no wonder the depression and suicide rate is so high in society today when you hear what men, women and teenagers are being told regarding who they are. Every thing revolves around not being good enough. No one is good enough. Hearing that over and over can be exhausting and depressing. And it also lets other lies in our head. Lies like you are not pretty enough, smart enough, talented enough. You don't make enough money. You don't travel enough. There is a reason you are still single and it's because there is something wrong with you. You are not worthy. You are not valuable. LIES. These are all lies straight from the pit of hell.

Here is a list of things that the creator of the universe, the God of all creation, your heavenly Father thinks and speaks about you:

You are:

Valuable

Perfectly created

Chosen

Saved

Made new

Heir to Christ

Wonderfully made

On Purpose

Seen

Heard

Loved

Brave

Beautiful

His Child

A Masterpiece

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10

Let these words sink in. The God who creates sunsets, seasons, flowers, and forests says that YOU are chosen and loved by Him. My hope and prayer is that you and I both learn how to walk in this truth everyday. When the world tries to tell us who we are, without a doubt we will know what is the truth and what is a lie. Let us live in confidence of who we are in Christ Jesus and know how valuable we are as a child of God. God almighty loves you, that is who you are.

Let the words in this song ring in your heart as you continue through this week.
