"Auld Lang Syne" translates roughly to "for old times' sake". This song that is beautifully sung around the world the night of December 31st reminds us to reflect back on the year remembering all the great laughs, tears, overcome obstacles, and milestones.

For me, 2017 was a year of tremendous growth. I learned many things about myself, and more importantly who God has created me to be. To remember all that God has done in 2017 I recorded every great moment on a piece of paper, keeping them all in a jar until this moment. It was so fun reading through them and reliving the moments I wrote down on the papers. Here are a few of my favorites:

-Read 5 books

-Was offered a full-time job

-Met Martin Luther King Jr.'s daughter, Bernice King

-Learned how to rest

-Traveled for the first time to Colorado and Alaska

-Signed papers and moved into a townhouse

-Had ankle surgery

2017 was a life changing year, but the best is always ahead. I am eager to see what 2018 will hold and I will remember it all as I begin a new jar. In this new year, I encourage you to look for the beautiful moments, seek opportunities to learn, and push yourself to become a better you. I believe this year will be the best yet. And I look forward to sharing it all with you here.

What are some of your favorite memories from 2017?

What are you looking forward to in 2018?

"All of us every single year, we're a different person. I don't think we're the same person all our lives." -Steven Spielberg
