Hello, I'm Me.

Updated: May 25, 2018

Have you ever met another person who was EXACTLY like you? I have not, and i'll bet you haven't either. That's because God has created each and every one of us unique and one of a kind. This also includes the things that make you, you. Such as your passions, desires, talents, and dreams.

"You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb." Psalm 139:13-15

One word that sticks out to me in this passage is the word Knit. When I was a freshman in high school I had to learn how to knit for one of my classes (Don't ask me why.) It took the entire school year to finally get the hang of it. Knitting requires so much detail, time, and very intricate patterns that will eventually create a scarf. I love how scripture uses this word to describe how the Lord created you and me. He did not do it in a rush and without any thought. He did the exact opposite, paying attention to each and every detail about you. And when He finished, He saw a masterpiece. YOU are a masterpiece.

So what gets you excited? It could be music, art, sports, reading, traveling, animals, designing, socializing, and I could list hundreds more. Get to know yourself and figure out how God made you. This will most likely lead you to dreaming big things and seeing glimpses of the life God has planned for you if you simply be yourself- who He created you to be!

There are some easy, practical ways you can start getting to know yourself right now.

1. Grab a notebook and start making lists of the things you enjoy, things you don't enjoy, things that you are good at, and things you are interested in learning!

2. Take a personality quiz, or two.

I recommend taking the Enneagram or the Meyers Briggs. I found it interesting to take both and compare the results. When you learn what you are, it's very interesting to read all things that make you, you. I am an ENTJ on the Meyers Briggs and an 8 on the Enneagram.

Here are the free links I used:

Meyers Briggs- https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test

Enneagram- http://www.9types.com/rheti/index.php

I hope and pray that you are affirmed that you are special and beautifully made. When you are confident in who you are and who God created you to be, you will be unstoppable.
